It’s a REEL Good Day to be Fishin’
Fishing on the Boundary Dam Reservoir in the winter is very peaceful and relaxing! If you like the quiet and need to get away from reality, it’s nice to come out here and clear your mind and just fish; also, the views out there are incredible and breathtaking! Austin and I took a drive out to experience ice fishing for the day!Â

I’m soaking in vitamin d, it was such a warm day, and I loved every second out here, as you can see! Our friend has an ice shack out at Boundary Dam Reservoir, Yankee Point. That’s where many locals and visitors like to catch the “BIG ONE!” You don’t need a shack to ice fish, and you need is an auger, pale, ice fishing rods and some juicy bait! We would have gone regardless of a shack or not, being in an ice shack is a bonus!
On Boundary Dam, you can expect to catch Perch, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike and of course, Walleye! Did you know Boundary Dam Reservoir is the only place for Largemouth Bass in Saskatchewan! On my line, I used a small minnow as bait, but if you’re looking to catch bass, I recommend you use leeches or worms!
TIP – Always keep your eye on your rod and never leave it unattended! I ended up losing a battle to what felt like “The Big One”!!
Follow me on my next adventure!
